Installation & Activation

Install PrimoCRM (Free)

From the WordPress plugin directory:

1. In WP-admin, go to Plugins then Add New.
2. Search for PrimoCRM, click Install Now, then Activate.
3. A new PrimoCRM menu appears in the admin sidebar.

From a zip file:

1. Download the plugin zip.
2. Go to Plugins then Add New then Upload Plugin.
3. Choose the zip, click Install Now, then Activate.

On first activation PrimoCRM creates its database tables and adds the menu. No setup wizard is required; you can begin adding contacts right away.

Install PrimoCRM Pro

Pro is a separate plugin and requires the Free plugin to be active first.

1. Download the Pro zip from your account.
2. Go to Plugins then Add New then Upload Plugin.
3. Choose the zip and click Install Now, then Activate.

Activate PrimoCRM Free before PrimoCRM Pro. Pro attaches to Free and unlocks premium features once licensed.

Activate your license

1. Open PrimoCRM then Settings then License.
2. Paste your license key and click Activate.
3. Your plan’s capabilities unlock immediately.

Your license determines which features are available. Any feature not in your plan shows a lock icon. Upgrading unlocks it with no reinstall. See Licensing for details and Requirements for server prerequisites.

Note

PrimoCRM Free never phones home and has no license. Only Pro communicates with the licensing server, and only to validate your key.

Uninstalling

Deactivating and deleting the plugin leaves your data in the database by default, so you can reinstall without losing anything. If you want a full cleanup, enable the data-removal option under Settings then General (in the danger zone) before deleting. That option is off by default and never removes data unless you opt in.
